What StayReady Games is

Build a practice engine around the real scenarios your team faces.

01

Describe the situation

Who's involved? What's at stake? What makes the situation difficult? StayReady Games creates the context, counterpart, and assessment criteria for you to review and refine.

02

Practice it live

Your team speaks with the AI counterpart out loud, and it responds to what they say. No actors to book. No peers to schedule.

03

See how it went

See how the learner's approach landed, then get feedback against the assessment criteria for that scenario. Try again while the feedback is fresh.

Flexible by design

A platform that grows with your needs

  • Shaped around your world

Start from your own situation or adapt a template, then tailor the language, standards, and assessment criteria to your organization.

  • Expand as new needs emerge

Add scenarios across roles, teams, and programs as priorities change. Run them as often as needed and keep the library relevant over time.

  • Learn from the patterns

See where people consistently perform well, where they get stuck, and how their approach changes across attempts and scenarios.

What people practice

Some conversations are worth rehearsing.

These are examples, not a fixed catalog. Any conversation that matters in your organization can become a scenario.

Difficult conversations with your team

  • Telling a long-tenured team member their work has slipped
  • Addressing behavior that's affecting the rest of the team
  • Following up when nothing changed after the first conversation

High-stakes customer conversations

  • A renewal call with a customer who's already halfway out
  • Explaining a price increase to a long-standing account
  • Handling an escalation after your team got something wrong

Getting heard and getting buy-in

  • Making the case for budget to a skeptical exec sponsor
  • Securing support from another team with competing priorities
  • Getting the team behind a decision they didn't agree with

Speaking up when it matters

  • Raising a risk your senior stakeholder doesn't want to hear
  • Challenging a decision made two levels above you
  • Holding your position when the room moves against you

Who it's for

Built for in-house teams and training partners.

For in-house L&D, training, and functional leaders

Get your people ready for the conversations you can see coming.

  • Give new hires reps before they handle real customer or client conversations
  • Prepare teams ahead of moments like performance cycles, restructures, launches, or price changes
  • Rehearse the customer conversations that affect revenue, retention, and trust
  • See where people are doing well, where they get stuck, and where more practice would help

For training providers and consultancies

Put practice behind the programs you already deliver.

  • Turn the frameworks you teach into simulations clients can use between sessions
  • Tailor scenarios to each client's situations, language, and assessment criteria
  • Bring evidence from the practice back into coaching, workshops, and client reviews
  • Keep people practicing after the facilitated program ends

Between 2019 and 2024, the share of job postings asking for people-management skills roughly tripled. More employers are expecting these skills from more of their staff.

Who's behind it

I've been on your side of this problem.

Asha Haji, Founder & CEO

I've spent 20 years leading teams, from more than 300 people in large organizations to a handful at early-stage startups. At every size, one thing kept showing up: managers were expected to handle difficult conversations well, often with very little chance to practice first.

Most of my career has been in education technology, and I've seen how much more useful learning becomes when people can practice, get feedback, and try again. But realistic roleplay has traditionally been expensive and difficult to repeat, so it often happens once in a workshop and stops there.

StayReady Games is the platform I wanted for my own managers: a low-stakes space to practice high-stakes work.

Give your teams somewhere to practice before it counts.

Tell us about the high-stakes moments your teams need to navigate. We'll identify where realistic practice could add the most value and if StayReady Games is a fit.
